The Cutler and Gross 9043 takes a strong rectangular approach, balancing substantial rims with slightly softened corners. The front looks wide and structured, with a pronounced top line and generously sized lens openings. A built-in bridge continues the sculptural character of the frame, while the slanted profile reveals the depth and dimensionality of the front.

Its olive color appears in the form of a translucent green-brown tone, passing from lighter olive reflections to deeper areas, almost smoky, depending on the thickness of the frame. The surface looks smooth and polished. Along the side, broad branches extend from large hinge sections before gradually tapering to curved tips. Three small details of rivets visible near the hinge introduce a precise decorative accent without interrupting the sober design of the frame.
